Hea-Mi Kim is a multidisciplinary artist working across mediums including--video, installation, sculpture, and drawing. Her work pulls from this idea of mapping the body. She is currently exploring the idea of the body as a built-up callus of different experiences and interested in making work that explores the idea of a non-hierarchical relationship by using layering and collaging techniques. She received her BFA in Studio Art in New York City from Parsons School of Design in 2018, and she will be graduating in 2021 with an MFA from the University of California Los Angeles specializing in the New Genres department.During the pandemic, economizing loss time felt like the only strategy to make art.
